This 1962 DB4 Series 4 is one of only 185 cars built in the short run between September 1961 and October 1962. Series 4 cars are recognisable by a lowered bonnet scoop, a barred front grille in place of the earlier egg-box mesh, and a lower oil cooler vent.
It is a matching-numbers car showing 65,662 miles and was first supplied on 10 March 1962 to a Mrs Gwynne of Middlethorpe Hall, York. It then stayed with one owner for 51 years. Optional extras from new included the overdrive gearbox. It is finished in Dark Blue, with evidence of the original Dubonnet colour underneath, and has its original black Vaumol leather interior.
Recent work covers a full overhaul of the suspension and brakes, a new clutch and road tyres, and electric power steering. The car was also recommissioned after a long period of little use.
