About this car

This DB2/4 was first registered on 7 September 1954, so it has the 3.0-litre version of the W.O. Bentley-designed six, introduced that April. The 2/4 added occasional rear seats and a rear hatch to the DB2's two-seat layout. This one is finished in black over beige leather, with right-hand drive and a manual gearbox.

The history is the main attraction. A build sheet records its original sale through Aston Martin agent Martin Walters, under the registration TKM 13. Club records, DVLA research and a long run of service invoices follow its owners from there. The 1970s brought engine work, including new pistons, liners and a crankshaft grind, and the 1990s saw further mechanical, chrome, trim and bodywork attention.

From 2003 it belonged to Tonie and Valmai Holt, the battlefield tour operators. They covered around 12,000 miles in about 20 years and took it on AMOC events. The odometer reads 13,648 miles. The page notes that the odometer was once reset to zero during an earlier owner's time, and the MOT record shows figures climbing from 190 in 1989.
