This 1987 AC Cobra 302 Mk IV, chassis AK1220, was hand-built by Autokraft at Brooklands and supplied new through Rod Leach's Nostalgia, the sole authorised UK Autokraft dealer. It was ordered in November 1987 in Jaguar Westminster Blue with burgundy Connolly leather, and carries a Nardi wood-rimmed wheel and gear knob, glass wind wings and 16-inch Halibrand-style alloys.
The interest is in the engine. The Ford 5.0-litre V8 was first specified with Holley carburettors and a decat exhaust, then returned to the factory in April 1990 for the Stage 3 SVO Lightweight conversion, said to have been done on only 20 right-hand-drive cars. Alloy heads, roller camshafts and a free-flow exhaust lift output to roughly 345 bhp, and the original invoice is in the history file.
The car has covered 15,365 miles and is described as matching-numbers and unmodified. It comes with the owner's handbook, service records, MOTs, the original brochure, two keys and a hood cover, and has been prepared with a full service plus a new clutch and flywheel.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Only the general layout of the Autokraft-built AC Cobra Mk IV is given: front-mounted, naturally aspirated Ford 302 V8 driving the rear wheels. Confirmed manufacturer figures for the 1987 SVO variant could not be verified, so performance and weight figures are left null.).
