This is chassis 'HEM-6', one of the best-known competition AC Cobra 289s still running. AC built it to competition specification, with cut-back doors and FIA-compliant flared arches. It was supplied without engine or gearbox to the British privateer C.T. "Tommy" Atkins of High Efficiency Motors, who raced it in 1964. Roy Salvadori drove it in the Goodwood Tourist Trophy that year, and Chris Amon drove it at Brands Hatch.
In 1965 it passed to Chequered Flag and was first road registered as GPG 4C. It was fitted with a Holman-Moody engine and won the Sussex Trophy and took a class win in the Whitsun Trophy. Later owners repainted it several times, and Peter Agg rebuilt it in the late 1970s. The same family has owned it since 1995, and it has taken part in the Goodwood Revival's Tourist Trophy Celebration since 1998. It won there in 2021 and last raced there in 2025.
It comes with a large history file of documents, invoices, publications and period photographs. The FIA Historic Technical Passport is valid until the end of 2028. The car is right-hand drive with a manual gearbox. The page gives no price or odometer reading.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Ford's published 271 hp (SAE gross) rating for the 289 cu in (4.7-litre) Hi-Po V8. No reliable AC factory figures for weight, top speed or acceleration, so those are null. Most widely quoted figures come from period road tests.).
