TVR Chimaera 500

This 1998 Chimaera 500 pairs the TVR-developed 5.0-litre Rover V8, the firm's most powerful engine of the period, with a Borg Warner T5 gearbox and a BTR limited-slip differential. It is a later car with the Serpentine-spec engine, finished in Pearl Blue over a Magnolia half-hide interior with Prussian blue contrasting areas on the dash and door cards.

The engine was rebuilt to standard specification by TVR Power in 2012 at 45,929 miles, and has covered around 14,500 miles since. The dampers and springs were upgraded to Nitron units in 2019. It runs on the original 5-litre Estoril wheels with Toyo tyres, and the paint is described as very good with only a few small marks.

Mileage is 60,408. The service file is full and runs back to 2000, with the stamped owner's manual covering the time since delivery. Specialist servicing is recorded almost every year, the latest in June 2025 at 59,091 miles.
