This 1966 TVR Grantura 1800S carries chassis number 001, which makes it the factory works demonstrator. It has a fibreglass body on a tubular steel chassis, and a competition record to match. It raced at the Brands Hatch 500km and in club events with Gerry Marshall and Tony Lafranchi among its drivers.
Its later owners kept it in competition. Peter Clarke took it to the Nürburgring 1000km in 1967. It then passed to Mary Wheeler, founder of the British Women Racing Drivers' Club, and went into dry storage after her ownership.
It has since been restored by racing driver Wille Green. The chassis was inspected, the mechanicals were rebuilt and the running gear was renewed. A Dennis Welch 1850 MGB-based engine with an aluminium crossflow head now produces about 170 bhp. The car is in FIA specification, with papers valid until December 2025, and is described as eligible for Equipe GTS and Pre-66 Historic Championships. The history file includes the V5 and numerous invoices. It is right-hand drive with a manual gearbox.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Engine data from the BMC B-series 1798cc MGB unit (95 bhp gross) that TVR used. I couldn't confirm TVR factory figures for weight, top speed or acceleration, so those are null.).
