TVR Chimaera 400

This 1997 TVR Chimaera 400 is finished in the factory colour Crimson Starmist, with a Magnolia half-hide interior, black mohair hood and original Imola alloy wheels. Optional power steering is fitted, and the dash panels have been re-veneered in walnut.

The main story is a body-off rebuild carried out in 2024 by Willow Sportscars at around 28,880 miles on the earlier mileage record. The chassis and suspension were stripped, shotblasted, zinc primed and powdercoated. New parts include wishbones, balljoints, bushes, wheel bearings, Bilstein dampers, braided brake lines and clutch cylinders. The engine was refreshed at the same time with a new camshaft and followers, water and oil pumps, head gaskets, timing chain and a full set of gaskets and seals. The body was then repainted in the original colour.

The car shows 55,346 miles. The service history runs from the 1997 pre-delivery inspection through TVR specialists and independent garages, and it includes a replacement speedometer. The page lists a sale preparation of a 12,000-mile service, 12 months' MOT and a 12-month warranty. This car is now sold.
