Chassis CSX 2051 is one of only 75 Shelby Cobras built to 260 specification. It was billed new to Shelby America in November 1962 in white with a black interior, and it was built for racing from the start.
Its first owner was the American racer George Reed, who entered it in the 1963 Sebring 12 Hours. The second owner, Pat Manning, uprated it to 289 specification for 1964. It went on to race extensively in SCCA and USRRC events. The page describes it as a multiple winner both in period and in historic racing. Very few Cobras contested international events such as Sebring and Le Mans in period, and this is one of them.
The car comes with a spares package of wheels, a gearbox and a differential, plus FIA HTP papers valid until 2027. It also has a UK road registration, 7 PXD, and a collection of SCCA trophies from its early career. No price or mileage is given on the page.
