Chassis S77LK is a Springfield-built Silver Ghost, one of the last right-hand-drive, four-speed cars the Massachusetts factory produced. Its Piccadilly Roadster body, a Rolls-Royce Custom Coachwork design built by Merrimac, is a two-seater with a rear dickey seat. It is widely regarded as the most sporting style offered on the American-built Ghost.
The car was delivered new on 25 April 1925 to Boston businessman Samuel S. Conrad. It later spent time in Phoenix, where its 1946 drive to the Indianapolis 500 and back covered more than 3,000 miles. In 1949 it went to Fred Buess in California, a noted Rolls-Royce collector and restorer, who kept it for 60 years until 2009.
A restoration to original specification was completed in 2013 by Early Motorcars in California. The car then won second in class at Pebble Beach. Lord Laidlaw imported it to the UK in 2015 and had specialist Allan Glew carry out mechanical work, fit an overdrive and refinish the body in the red it wears now. The page states that it retains its original body, chassis, engine and gearbox.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Engine specs from Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost data. Rolls-Royce published no power figure, and I know of no official weight or performance figures for the Springfield Piccadilly Roadster, so those are null.).
