Chassis 69MW is a short-chassis Phantom II Continental, the sportiest version of Rolls-Royce's big pre-war car, carrying Barker sedanca coupe coachwork. It was on test with Rolls-Royce in June 1933 and delivered to its first owner, Capt. Thomas Lee Hardy, a London banker and polo player. He specified bonnet louvres running into the bulkhead at 16 degrees.
Its second keeper, engineer Kenneth Neve, bought it in 1952. He wrote about it in his 1988 book A Bit Behind the Times, describing prizes won at concours events and a class win in a speed trial in Ireland. After his death it was loaned to the test pilot Peter Henley, who kept a detailed log of use and maintenance.
The current owner bought the car in 1999 and sent it to Classic Restorations of Scotland. Around £200,000 was spent on mechanical work, and overdrive was added at the same time. The coachwork was refinished in green, the seats retrimmed in leather, the carpets replaced and the brightwork refurbished. Ace-type wheel discs were fitted. Equipment includes Lucas lamps, Marchal spotlights, a luggage carrier and a fishtail exhaust. The restoration records and five large files of history and bills come with the car. The page does not give a current odometer reading, and the price is marked as accepted.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Rolls-Royce Phantom II chassis specs (7.7L OHV straight-six, Derby-built). Rolls-Royce never published power ('adequate'). Weight and performance depend on the Barker body, so they're left null.).
£380,000 since it was listed on 5 November 2026. No changes yet.
