Rolls-Royce 20/25 H.J. Mulliner Sports Saloon

This 1932 Rolls-Royce 20/25 carries a sports saloon body by H.J. Mulliner of Chiswick and was ordered new by Captain Woolf Barnato, the Bentley Boy. Barnato specified it with a dashboard 2 inches wider than standard, a bonnet 5½ inches longer and instrumentation made to his own requirements. The dealer holds period photographs of the car next to Barnato's 8 Litre Bentley.

The car is described as largely original. The engine has had a full rebuild, and the headlining, woodwork and leather are original, with the leather re-dyed. New carpets have been fitted because the originals were beyond saving. Other period details include Ace wheel discs, a Tapley brake meter above the passenger sun visor, original under trays and a Bakelite mushroom coil. A double chrome strip along the body matches the one it had in Barnato's ownership.

It left the factory entirely black, and the sides and wheels have since been painted cream. A history file comes with it, including bills for the engine rebuild and Rolls-Royce chassis records. The page shows the price as accepted, which suggests a sale is agreed.
