Listed today at Jonathan Wood, Saffron Walden. Last checked today.
This 1929 Rolls-Royce 20/25 began life as a fixed-head coupé, with coachwork by Thrupp & Maberly. It came off test on Christmas Eve 1929 and was delivered to the coachbuilder the following month. It was supplied through Caffyns of Eastbourne to its first owner in Hove. Later owners included a Hull physician and a Leicestershire dairy farmer.
In the 1950s the original body was replaced with the estate coachwork seen today, built by Burbage & Sons. Estate bodies on 20/25 chassis are unusual, and this one has the proportions of a practical country car rather than a conversion.
The current owner bought it in the late 1990s in poor condition and had it restored. The mechanicals were done by the selling dealer, the bodywork by Clark & Carter Restorations and the trim by G.A. Wright. The engine has been rebuilt with a new aluminium cylinder head, and the car has been fully rewired. The retrim includes folding rear seats for more load space, and the dashboard and instruments have been overhauled. No mileage is stated.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Rolls-Royce 20/25 chassis specification (3,669 cc inline six, built at Derby). Rolls-Royce never published power figures ('sufficient'), and coachbuilt estate bodies differed, so there's no factory weight or performance data.).
£85,000 since it was listed on 6 November 2026. No changes yet.
