Porsche 911 SC Targa

This is a 1979 Porsche 911 SC Targa, a left-hand-drive, four-speed manual car from the first years of the 3.0-litre SC. The SC is generally regarded as one of the sturdier classic 911s, with an aluminium crankcase in place of the earlier magnesium type, and the Targa adds the stainless steel roll bar roof.

It was first finished in Minerva Blue Metallic and later repainted Guards Red. The dealer says it has matching-numbers engine and chassis, 39,350 miles (63,330 km) and a single Italian owner since 1991, with dry storage. No rust is reported and the shell is described as straight.

It is offered as an unrestored project rather than a finished car. The red paint is tired, the interior is complete but needs cosmetic work, and the engine runs smoothly but needs full recommissioning before road use. The car is in Italy, and the price excludes import duties and taxes.
