This 911 SC Targa was built in September 1977 for the 1978 model year, making it one of the first of the Super Carrera generation. It is painted Petrol Blue Metallic, a colour offered only from 1978 to 1980, with black leatherette and black-and-white pinstripe velour trim. The 3.0-litre flat-six uses Bosch K-Jetronic injection and a five-speed manual gearbox, and produces 180 bhp.
Factory options include impact absorbers, headlamp washers, a leather steering wheel, tinted glass, a centre console and electric windows. It rides on the standard ATS alloys.
The history is unusual. The car was stolen in Chelsea with about 3,000 miles on it, then recovered nine years later and bought back by its original owner, who kept it until 2005. Autofarm rebuilt the top end in 1999, and later service work came from Francis Tuthill and others. The page gives 27,240 miles and says the car has a Porsche Certificate of Conformity, a detailed ownership history and a history file.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Porsche factory spec for the 911 SC, which launched as a 1978 model year car (autumn 1977). No 1977 MY SC exists, so performance figures are left blank until the model year is confirmed.).
