Porsche 911 2.4 S Targa

The 2.4 S sat at the top of the early F-series 911 range, with a 2,341cc mechanically injected flat-six, a five-speed 915/02 gearbox, Koni dampers and a front spoiler as standard. This left-hand-drive Targa is finished in Silver Metallic over a blue tartan and Alcantara interior, and is described as matching-numbers and in its original colour.

It was supplied new through Autohaus Porsche Audi in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and has had two keepers from new. Specification includes 6J x 15-inch Fuchs forged alloys, sports seats, a wood-rim steering wheel and a Bluetooth-equipped classic-style radio. Changes include an Alcantara dash top and door rolls, new carpets, a custom dark blue Targa panel and front spot lamps.

Recent work is documented by invoices. TLG Auto in California did a mechanical recommissioning, including an engine-and-gearbox-out service and a new clutch. After the car arrived in the UK in 2023 it was stripped to bare metal and repainted. Centre Gravity of Atherstone then did a full suspension set-up with new Bilstein dampers, wheel bearings, Lemförder tie rods, anti-roll bars and Michelin XWX tyres. It has covered 42,250 miles.
