Porsche 356 B Cabriolet

This 1963 Porsche 356B Cabriolet was delivered new in the USA and has stayed remarkably original. It is finished in Champagne with black leather, and the page describes a patina that would be impossible to recreate.

Its ownership is well traced. A Los Angeles owner kept it for 18 years, and it passed in 1999 to a collector in Garrison, New York. A New Hampshire collector and racer bought it in 2003 through Paul Russell & Co. At that point it showed 67,097 miles, with no corrosion or accidents reported and a recent engine rebuild. It passed to the collector's wife in 2009. The odometer now reads 71,800 miles.

Factory options include an antenna, fog lamps, chrome wheels and a chrome luggage rack. The Porsche certificate of authenticity lists these and confirms the engine and gearbox numbers as the car's originals. The history file is unusually complete for a US-market car. It holds the original driver's handbook, copies of titles back to 1981, service and maintenance bills, and receipts for an engine rebuild at 66,193 miles. The dealer reports perfect panel gaps and no sign of accident or repair.
