Morris Mini Minor

An early Mk1 Morris Mini Minor, built in April 1961 for the home market in right-hand drive. It spent many years overseas, returned to the UK in the 1990s and was recommissioned and registered for road use in 2009. It wears its factory colour of Cherry Red, and the bodyshell is described as largely original, with early details such as the magic wand gear lever, smooth sills and floor-mounted push-button start.

The car is not standard under the bonnet. A 1380cc A-Series engine was fitted in 2013. It has twin 1.25-inch SU carburettors and a three-branch manifold, and was set up on a rolling road at Mini Sport, where it made 83 bhp. Power goes through a four-speed straight-cut gearbox. Cooper S 7.5-inch front discs and wider rear drums, a Maniflow exhaust, Cooper S style alloys on Yokohama tyres and extra oil pressure and water temperature gauges complete the café racer-style spec.

It shows 3,390 miles and has had eight previous owners. The history file includes a Heritage Certificate confirming the body colour, chassis number and body numbers. The dealer lists the car as reserved.
