Morris Mini Cooper

This 1966 Morris Mini Cooper left the factory as a right-hand drive 998cc car but has since been rebuilt as a full race and rally-specification 1293S. The work was carried out by Snetterton Speedshop in 2021 and the car has been used only sparingly since.

The rebuild went down to the bare shell, with the bodywork reworked and the subframes updated. The 1293cc engine has new valves and piston rings, a mild KAD rally cam and the correct rocker gear, and breathes through twin SU carburettors on a Cooper S manifold. The S gearbox has a straight-cut gear kit and drop gears, with a Cooper S remote gearchange and a lightweight flywheel. The stainless exhaust is FIA compliant.

Inside are a Works-style dashboard, footplate and competition seats. The car has a class win in the European FIA Historic Touring Car Championship and is built to FIA/HTP rally specification.
