About this car

The 4/4 was Morgan's first four-wheeled car, and this 1937 Series I is an early example of the model that began the line still built today. It is powered by a 1267cc Standard Special engine and finished in Royal ivory with a vinyl trim.

The car has had a ground-up rebuild. It has a new body and wings, a new chassis, a re-cored radiator (the invoice is in the file), a new Standard Special exhaust system fitted during the restoration and fresh chrome work. It also has stove-enamelled wheels, a four-spoke Brooklands steering wheel and a brown mohair tonneau.

It has no hood or sidescreens, which the dealer gives as the reason for the lower price than is usual for a 4/4 of this age.
