About this car

The PB was the last and most developed of MG's overhead-camshaft P-Type Midgets, with the engine enlarged to 939cc and a close-ratio four-speed gearbox. Only around 526 were built, making it scarcer than the PA that preceded it. This car, chassis PB0464, has also been fitted with a Marshall supercharger.

The history is unusually well documented. The MG Triple-M Register records the chassis, engine and bonnet as matching and original. The car was supplied new in 1936 through Mann Egerton of Norwich to a Norfolk publican. It was found in a London garden in 1964 and returned to the road, then stayed with one owner for decades. A full rebuild to original specification was completed in 2010.

It has since been used as intended. It has completed the Mille Miglia twice, and it appears in the 2024 entry list. It is finished in red with black trim, right-hand drive, and shows 15,000 miles. The price is on application.
