Listed today at Bicester Sports & Classics, Bicester.
The MGA replaced the ageing T-series in 1955 and sold largely to the American market. This 1960 1600 Mk1 roadster is a typical example: it spent its first 45 years in the United States before returning to the UK in 2005.
A restoration followed in 2006, covering a rebuilt engine converted to run on unleaded, a rebuilt gearbox and a rust-free chassis. It is finished in Chariot Red and comes with a full hood and weather equipment.
The car has since been kept by enthusiast owners, and a history file accompanies it. The dealer's listing shows it as sold.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (BMC/MG factory spec: 1588cc B-series, 79.5 bhp (gross) at 5,600 rpm. I left performance and weight blank because I'm not sure of the factory-published figures; period numbers come from magazine road tests.).
