Mercedes-Benz SL 280 SL Pagoda

This right-hand-drive 1968 280 SL Pagoda spent more than 38 years with a single London owner, a well-known Mercedes-Benz club member. He kept a handwritten log from 1995 recording mileage, fuel and journeys, and it sits in the history file. Two owners preceded him, and the glovebox carries a signature from Pagoda authority Paul Brauq.

The car is finished in Grey Blue Metallic (code 906) with a matching hardtop, a blue soft top and blue MB-Tex seats. It has automatic transmission, power steering and a Becker cassette radio. The page describes it as fully matching numbers, covering the engine, paint colour, interior, bonnet and boot lid.

It has just had a full strip and repaint. The front wings received new metalwork, where the previous owner had left rust in place to preserve originality.
