This is a left-hand-drive European-market R107 500 SL, finished in Anthracite Grey Metallic (code 172) over black leather. The 5.0-litre V8 is the more relaxed choice of the R107 range for long-distance touring, and this car is well specified: heated seats, air conditioning, cruise control, headlamp wash-wipe, a wind deflector and a factory Becker Mexico radio cassette. It also has the rare rear seats, a black soft top and a matching hardtop.

The history is traceable. The car was German-registered until 2005, then imported to Scotland, where it stayed until 2015. It then went to a collector in Switzerland, where it has been kept since. It was repainted around 2014, and the front seats have been retrimmed to a factory-style finish.
