Lotus Elise SC Type 72

This is a one-off factory commission: the only Elise SC built to Type 72 specification, echoing the Exige S Type 72 series of 55 cars. It is finished in Starlight Black Metallic with biscuit gold accents, a carbon-effect and gold leather interior with embroidered Type 72 logos, and black and gold wheels. The exterior graphics were applied by Paul Barnham, who worked on the original Team Lotus Formula One cars.

The car is understood to be number 41 of 45 Elise SCs built in the final year of this body shape. It has a supercharged 1.8-litre Toyota-based engine, a manual gearbox, a Category 2 sports exhaust and the Sport Pack. It also comes with a hard top, the original LED rear lights and dashboard, and a Type 72 Certificate of Provenance box.

It has covered about 33,300 miles with its original owner, having been bought new from the selling dealer in March 2010. Servicing was done by the dealer and by Aston Martin Bristol. The page says the car was restored to factory presentation earlier this year.
