Lotus Elise S1

An early Series 1 Elise from 1998 with just 20,412 miles and two owners. It carries the Rover K-Series 1.8-litre engine mounted behind the seats, in a car that helped redefine lightweight sports car design with its bonded aluminium chassis. Early-car details include MMC brake discs and the canvas luggage bag, and it comes with its original hard top and the plate R111 LTS.

The second owner bought it in 2001, then laid it up until 2022. It was recommissioned that year with a full service, new tyres, battery, brake master cylinder, braided hoses, water pump, uprated headlights and a reconditioned alternator.

It is also modified. The engine has fast road cams, a 52mm throttle body and an induction kit. The chassis has AVO adjustable dampers and springs, an uprated front anti-roll bar and Eliseparts gear-linkage bushes. Inside are carbon door cards, switches, winders and handbrake, and the car has a black leather interior and a workshop manual.
