This XK150 drophead coupé was built in September 1957 for export as a 3.4-litre automatic and is one of the earliest cars made, with the aluminium centre dash and deeper number plate plinth that were changed on later cars. It returned to the UK, where the V5 records a first registration date of August 1961.
It is far from standard now. Over successive owners the car has been bored out to 3.8 litres with a rebuilt unleaded-head engine, converted to a Broad Sport five-speed manual in 2015, and fitted with electric power steering, Fosseway four-pot front brakes, Koni dampers, an uprated cooling system and electronic ignition. It wears the model-appropriate 50 SXK plate, which replaced the original 187 DYS.
Finished in Old English White over red leather, from a respray completed in the late 1990s, it shows 95,100 miles. The dealer says fewer than 1,500 of those have come since the latest engine rebuild. A long file of invoices documents the work, including specialist service visits through to 2019.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Year and engine don't match: the 3.8-litre XK150 only arrived in late 1959 (1960 model year), so 1957 cars were 3.4-litre. Performance figures left empty; only the 3.8 engine and layout details are given.).
£89,995 since it was listed on 6 November 2026. No changes yet.
