This Series III V12 fixed-head coupe was built on 16 December 1970, ahead of the model's official launch in March 1971. It went to California, where it was delivered through Burlingame British Cars and passed to its first owner in January 1971.
The car returned to the UK in 1999 and was restored, with a conversion from left- to right-hand drive. The original engine was replaced by an XJ-S HE V12, which the dealer quotes at 299 bhp against the original 276 bhp. It also has a Getrag five-speed gearbox, uprated suspension, an AJ6 Engineering stainless exhaust and an ECU upgrade. The car keeps its electronic fuel injection and US-style side lights.
It is painted in Racing Green, its original colour, and was retrimmed in cinnamon leather in 2015. It shows 54,845 miles.
