Jaguar E-Type Series 1 3.8 FHC

This is an early Series 1 E-Type with the original 3.8-litre straight-six, fed by triple SU carburettors and paired with a four-speed Moss manual gearbox. It is a fixed-head coupe in right-hand drive, finished in Old English White over Oxblood Red leather, one of the classic combinations for the model.

The car was first delivered new to Australia, later went to Japan, and was stripped there for restoration before arriving in the UK. It then received a three-year nut-and-bolt restoration by Tudor Black Coachworks, completed in 2022 at a reported cost of nearly £150,000. The odometer reads 60,531 miles, but only 500 have been covered since the rebuild, all as testing miles. It is reported to be matching-numbers and has had a number of upgrades aimed at reliability and usability.

The car has had one UK owner for eight years and carries the period non-transferable registration mark AEM 9. Paperwork includes a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Production Record Trace Certificate, the V5C, the original handbooks, and a folder documenting the restoration along with pre-restoration history.
