Honda Integra Type R

This is a 2000 Honda Integra Type R in Type RX form, the last and most fully specified run of the DC2. RX cars add blue carbon trim panels, aluminium pedals, yellow-stitched Recaro seats, a Momo wheel and a factory limited-slip differential, on a lightweight shell of just over 1,100kg. It is finished in Phoenix Yellow (Y56), described as the rarest factory colour for the DC2.

It came to the UK in 2016 as a grade 4B auction import with about 43,300 miles, and now shows 51,260. Since then it has been looked after by R Motion and restored by Simon Bucknell's team, using OEM parts where possible. The work includes a full glass-out respray, rebuilt and powder-coated suspension, overhauled brakes with braided lines, and Recaro-refurbished seats.

The car keeps its original engine. The engine and gearbox were removed, stripped and refinished, with a new clutch, cambelt, water pump, radiator and sump among the parts fitted. The rocker cover was refinished in Japan to the factory shade.
