This 1977 Ferrari 512 BB is one of the 101 cars officially imported to the UK through Maranello Concessionaires, and one of 71 that remain taxed or SORN. It is a matching-numbers car with the 4,942cc flat-12 and five-speed manual gearbox, producing 360 bhp. It was ordered new in Nero with Sabbia hide, and was later refinished in Rosso Corsa.
The history is unusually well documented. After spells in the UK and Norway, Maranello Concessionaires bought it back in 1988 and restored it. The work included a bare-metal respray, a renewed rear chassis subframe and a mechanical overhaul, completed in 1989 at 37,700 miles. Later work included rebuilt cylinder heads with stainless exhaust valves, a new clutch and cam belts around 2008 and 2009.
It shows 58,000 miles. Recent work includes a cam belt service and an MOT. The car comes with its original service book, handbooks, Ferrari wallet and a large file of invoices and MOTs. The original Pioneer radio cassette is still fitted, along with a stainless steel sports exhaust.
