About this car

The 365 GT4 BB was Ferrari's first mid-engined flat-12 road car, and is generally regarded as the purest of the Berlinetta Boxers. This right-hand-drive example, chassis 18071, is one of 58 UK-supplied cars. It was delivered new with factory air conditioning and in Giallo Fly yellow, a colour thought to have been used on only about 12 RHD cars.

It was refinished in Rosso Corsa in 1982 and has since been retrimmed in tan with black inserts. The history file is unusually detailed for a Boxer. It starts with the August 1974 registration paperwork and includes a 1979 HR Owen sale invoice and records of work by HR Owen, Kent High Performance, Foskers and Terry Keys Motorsport. Recent work includes a full service, a cambelt change, an engine-out inspection and a brake service. The car is described as having matching numbers and its original keys, tool roll, radio and manuals.

The car was offered together with a 1966 right-hand-drive Fiat 500 Nuova, which has had four owners from new. The listing is marked as sold.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Ferrari factory figures: 380 PS (375 bhp), 4390 cc flat-12, 302 km/h (188 mph) claimed. Ferrari quoted a dry weight, not a kerb weight, and no official 0-60 time, so both are left null.).
