The 330 America was Ferrari's stopgap between the 250 GTE and the all-new 330 GT 2+2, with just 50 built. It keeps the Pininfarina 2+2 shape of the 250 GTE but moves to the larger 4.0-litre Colombo V12, making it one of the rarest series-production Ferraris of its era.
This car was supplied new through Luigi Chinetti Motors, and its first owner was casino owner and collector Bill Harrah. It passed to Mr Gehrke in 1971 and stayed with him until 2006, during which time Will Haible carried out a restoration covering an engine rebuild, a bare-metal refinish and a retrimmed interior. It is described as matching-numbers, and it sold at RM Sotheby's Amelia Island sale in 2017 before coming to the UK.
The current owner has added more than 10,000 miles. Vulcan Classics invoices of over £14,000 cover routine servicing, a 2025 water pump replacement and a remanufactured fan-clutch assembly. Corrosion at the leading edge of the sills has been repaired with hand-formed sections, and the front end has been repainted back to the trailing edge of the doors. The door card backings have also been remade.
