The Delahaye 135M is the triple-carburettor, sporting version of the 135, and it was one of the defining French grand routiers of the 1930s. This car carries a three-position drophead body by the Parisian coachbuilder Henri Chapron, chassis number 47390.
It is finished in a three-tone pale grey, chosen to emphasise the lines of the body. The cabin has new cognac leather with matching carpets, and the vertically grained wood has been removed and refinished. The period instruments are all in place.
The car spent about two decades with one owner in Spain, in a southern Spanish collection, before being bought in Barcelona. It now comes from a prominent Austrian collection and is registered in both Austria and the UK. The dealer says the current owner has been through the car thoroughly and made a number of small improvements. The engine is described as tidy, starting readily and pulling strongly.
