The Delahaye 135M was the more powerful version of the 135, a car with Le Mans and Monte Carlo Rally history that anchored Delahaye production until 1954. This 1949 example wears two-door coupé coachwork by the Parisian coachbuilder Guilloré. It is described as matching-numbers and has the Cotal electro-mechanical semi-automatic gearbox, behind a 3.6-litre six-cylinder engine with triple Solex carburettors.
It was delivered new in Marseille and spent much of its life in France before moving to Holland and Germany, then reaching the UK in 2010. Early work by marque specialist Polson included a new clutch and flywheel and a full overhaul of the Cotal gearbox. Premium Classic Cars later carried out an engine-out conservation. That covered the cooling and fuel systems, all electrics and a full rewire. The suspension and brakes were rebuilt, and the wire wheels were stripped and repainted.
The car is finished in Circassian Blue. The interior has new grey leather on the front seats and door cards, red Wilton carpet and polished aluminium door cappings, while the original Motorola radio is retained. It is UK-registered as 467UYG, and about £10,000 of spares are available separately. No mileage is stated.
