Chevrolet Corvette T-Top

This 1972 Corvette is a C3 "Coke bottle" car, the final year of chrome bumpers at both ends, and it has been recently imported from the United States. It is finished in blue metallic over a black interior and has T-top roof panels, with covers for storing them.

The notable change is under the bonnet: a new crate engine built around a Vortec block with worked Vortec heads, a competition roller camshaft and an Edelbrock AVS2 carburettor on a matching manifold. The engine builder suggests 375 to 400 bhp. A stainless steel exhaust has been fitted, the three-speed automatic gearbox has been rebuilt and the rear axle has been serviced.

After arrival the car was repainted as needed and retrimmed with new seats, foams, carpets, door cards and dashboard. It also has new chrome, badges, tyres and shock absorbers. Power steering and factory air conditioning are fitted, although the air conditioning is not connected. The odometer reads 46,500 miles, and around 2,500 of those have been covered since the work was completed, including a round trip to Le Mans.
