Listed today at Mugello Cars, Poole.
This is chassis BT23/3, a 1967 Brabham works Formula 2 car driven by Frank Gardner. Gardner finished second in the 1967 European Formula 2 Championship, taking one win and 33 points, behind Jacky Ickx. The car was then sold and raced in 1968 by Swiss driver Xavier Perot, and it has more than 100 recorded races.
It has been fully restored and is fitted with a 1600cc fuel-injected FVA engine and an FT200 gearbox, with only test hours since the work. It is painted in period Brabham racing green with gold livery.
New seatbelts and a new fire suppression system are fitted. It is described as suitable for the International Historic Formula 2 Series and comes with a new Historic Technical Passport. The listing shows it as sold, with the price shown as POA.
