BMW M3 Track Car

This E46 M3 has been turned into a road-legal track car. It left the factory in Laguna Seca Blue in 2002 and has since been extensively modified, with a recent full respray in the original colour.

The S54 straight-six has a CSL-style airbox, a Modstock remap, and upgraded radiator, oil cooler and engine mounts. The connecting rod bearings have recently been replaced. The car has been converted to a manual gearbox with a CAE shifter. Suspension is by Nitron R3 three-way adjustable dampers, with AP Racing brakes front and rear and a braced differential.

The bodywork includes a Geoff Steel carbon roof, a carbon vented bonnet, a CSL-style boot lid, a chassis-mounted rear wing and a bolt-in multi-point roll cage. Inside are Schroth four-point harnesses and an Awron CAN gauge. It shows 113,176 miles. The dealer says it could be taken to full motorsport specification with some further safety equipment.
