Listed today at Bicester Sports & Classics, Bicester.
The T2 was the last of the Silver Shadow-derived T series, and it brought rack and pinion steering and firmer, sportier suspension than the earlier cars. Only around 560 Bentley versions were built over three years, making it far scarcer than the equivalent Rolls-Royce.
This car was supplied new by Dutton Forshaw in August 1978. It is finished in Larch Green with beige leather piped in green, including the dash top and knee rolls. A smaller Nardi steering wheel has been fitted to sharpen the steering feel, and the original wheel is kept in the boot.
The history file includes build sheets, the original bill of sale at £23,500 and a run of maintenance invoices. There are more than 40 service stamps across two booklets. The cherished plate is not included in the sale.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Rolls-Royce/Bentley factory engine data (6.75-litre L-series V8). The factory never published power and only gave it as 'adequate'. Performance and weight figures come from road tests, not the factory, so they are left null.).
