Bentley S3 Continental Flying Spur

This is a right-hand-drive 1964 Bentley S3 Continental Flying Spur, chassis BC86XB, one of only 68 S3 Continentals built. The H J Mulliner coachwork is the sought-after four-door style on the Continental chassis. The rolling chassis reached Mulliner in August 1963 and the finished car was first delivered in February 1964. It was originally Dusk Grey with a Scarlet leather interior and is now Royal Blue with red leather.

The history is well documented. The engine was rebuilt in 2017 at a cost of £25,000, with a photographic record, and a Bentley specialist carried out further work in 2018 costing £10,000. In 2019 the car won a Highly Commended award at the BDC Concours d'Elegance at Salon Privé, Blenheim Palace. The dealer's chairman owned it in the 1990s, when it had a bare-metal repaint and the veneers were re-varnished.

It shows 20,316 miles and comes with two leather history folders holding MOTs, original tax discs and receipts. The four-speed automatic gearbox is described as working smoothly. The red leather is patinated and the woodwork well preserved.
