About this car

This 1960 Bentley S2 has been restored and finished in a two-tone scheme of Flame Orange over Midnight Sapphire, colours more usually associated with modern Bentleys than with a car of the Silver Cloud era. The interior is retrimmed in new tobacco-coloured leather.

The work began with stripping the body to bare metal. Corrosion was cut out and new inner and outer sills fitted, and the car also had a major mechanical rebuild and refinished woodwork. The dealer says considerably more has been spent on it than the asking price.

The restoration is not quite complete. The carpets and door mirrors were still to be fitted, and about 200 test miles are planned before the car is photographed. It carries the UK registration 5868D and chassis number B455BR.
