This is a right-hand-drive 1957 Bentley S1 Continental with H.J. Mulliner fastback coachwork to Design No 7400. Chassis BC92BG is the eighty-eighth of ninety-seven built to that design in right-hand drive, and it is a matching-numbers car. It wears its original combination of Velvet Green over beige leather.
The S1 Continental followed the R Type Continental in 1955 and rode on a chassis three inches longer. Mulliner adapted its fastback shape for it, with a higher front wing line and slimmer rear wings. This car is a late production example with the better S1 Continental specification: factory power steering, the larger carburettors and a dual brake reservoir.
Ownership is traceable from new. The first owner was Peter Cadbury, who kept the car only a few months. It was then supplied through Jack Barclay several times, and C. Derek Murray owned it from 1962 to 1987. It was bought in 2016 and restored body-off over almost three years, with Padgett Engineering rebuilding the mechanicals. The dealer says the restoration cost well over £300,000.
Upgrades include period-style parcel-shelf air conditioning, a hazard switch and an electric aerial. The car has covered just over 1,000 miles since the work was completed in 2019. It comes with its tools, handbook, a photographic record of the restoration, copy chassis cards and a large history file.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Engine specs are from Bentley/Rolls-Royce's published S1 data: 4,887cc inline-six, naturally aspirated. Power left null because Bentley never published it and only described it as "sufficient". Weight and performance figures left null because only press road tests exist for them, not manufacturer figures.).
£395,000 since it was listed on 6 November 2026. No changes yet.
