This is a Petersen Blower, a modern build in the spirit of the supercharged Bentleys of the Birkin era. It started life as chassis B118EF, a 1935 3.5-litre Derby Bentley that was the Hooper & Co coupe-cabriolet show car at Olympia. It was re-bodied by Hooper as a four-door saloon in October 1936 for Captain Frederick Vernon-Wentworth, High Sheriff of Suffolk.
After sale at auction in 2005, the chassis went to Bob Petersen, who rebuilt it for the current owner. The finished car has a modified 4.5-litre R-Type engine, a Petersen supercharger, a Mark VI gearbox, a 3.08 rear axle ratio and a Le Mans-style four-seat sports body. It was completed at the end of 2009 and registered UR6459.
The page says it has covered under 20,000 miles with a single owner since the build. Much of that was touring: New Zealand in 2010, the USA and Canada in 2013, Australia, Monaco and the Mille Miglia in 2016, and a south-eastern USA tour in 2017. It won Best in Show at Kop Hill in 2017. Black leather Bentley-crested bags and a luggage rack above the fuel tank are included.
