This 1924 Bentley 3 Litre is an early Speed model, identifiable by its red-badged radiator and twin sloper carburettors. It carries chassis number 807 and is registered KU5155.
The open tourer body is Vanden Plas number 1087, fitted when the car was new. It still wears its original eggshell black paint with a polished aluminium bonnet, while the chassis rails and running gear are painted red.
The car was used until 1954, then laid up for around 35 years. After that the mechanics were thoroughly rebuilt, and it has since done rallies in France, Australia and New Zealand as well as shorter local runs. Bentley's chassis records show it maintained up to 1939. A hood and a full-length tonneau cover are included.
