Listed today at The Real Car Co, Bethesda. Last checked today.
This 1935 Bentley 3½ Litre carries a Park Ward sports saloon body, a well-proportioned design that remains one of the more popular coachbuilt styles on the Derby-built chassis. The chassis number is B198DG and it is registered BXN 635.
The interior has recently been retrimmed in beige leather with black piping, with new headlining and carpets, including in the boot. The paintwork is described as high quality though not flawless. Up front it has P100 headlights, a spotlight and twin Lucas 'Alto' horns. Flashing indicators have been added, the fronts neatly built into the sidelights, and the original trafficators remain in place and working.
The car is offered serviced and with a fresh MoT. Its history is documented through a succession of owners, beginning with Norman Doggart, a Bishop Auckland draper's heir. Later owners include the rally competitor and dealer W. M. Couper, Lt-Col Sydney Charrington of the brewing family, and Jack Stewart-Clark.
