Bentley 3 1/2 Litre Park Ward Sports Saloon

This is a 1935 Derby-built Bentley 3½ Litre, chassis B-153-CW, with Park Ward sports saloon coachwork. The Derby cars were the first Bentleys produced under Rolls-Royce ownership, and a coachbuilt example like this one shows the quieter, more refined character the marque took on in the 1930s.

It is finished in Prussian Blue over black, with blue leather, matching carpets and a figured walnut dash. The page reports more than £22,000 spent on the mechanicals before a previous sale, focused on the Bijur lubrication system and the suspension and steering. The leaf springs were removed and re-tempered by Fiennes Engineering and fitted with new leather gaiters. A new clutch has been fitted recently, and a compression test is described as excellent.

The car spent time in a prominent Swedish collection, where it was used sparingly but regularly. It is registered in both Sweden (CGK299) and the UK (BLU140), and EEC taxes are paid. Modern additions are a heater under the dash and a single rear seatbelt, both removable. The engine bay is described as original apart from a non-period coil. The car is in a private collection south of Stockholm, and the listing shows the offer as accepted.
