This is a 1965 right-hand-drive, home-market Austin Mini built up as a fast-road Cooper-style car. It is finished in Olive Green with a black roof, and it was restored from the bare shell after being bought by an enthusiast in November 2020.
The A-series engine has been rebuilt and bored out to 1375cc. Parts come from Swiftune, MED, Weber and ARP: a billet road camshaft, a balanced crankshaft, new pistons, an 11-stud head and a Weber 45 DCOE carburettor. The page quotes a proven 100bhp. The gearbox has straight-cut gears and a helical limited-slip differential, and there is a competition clutch and a lightweight flywheel.
The car also has a roll cage, a Maiflow exhaust, racing seats with Willans harnesses, a Momo wheel and a bespoke carpet set. It sits on 10-inch Ultralight wheels with Yokohama Advance HF tyres. A history file comes with it, containing the current V5, invoices and photographs.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (BMC published figures for the 1965 Mk I Austin Mini Cooper 998 (55 bhp gross). 'Custom Built' is not a recognised factory variant name, so this was treated as the standard 998 Cooper, not a Cooper S. Weight, top speed and 0-60 were left out because no confirmed factory figures were available.).
£44,950 since it was listed on 5 November 2026. No changes yet.
