The BJ8 Phase 2 was the final form of the Austin-Healey 3000, and this 1966 car is a well-documented example. It was supplied new to the USA, stayed there for 25 years and returned to Britain in 1990. A restoration by a leading Healey specialist followed in 1992, recorded with photographs and invoices.
The page says the car has covered under 12,000 miles since that restoration, though it gives no odometer reading. Recent spending of over £15,000 went on a stainless exhaust, an uprated brake servo, a quicker steering box, Kevlar hoses, 123 electronic ignition, a high-torque starter, an uprated electric fuel pump, an alloy sump, uprated anti-roll bars and an alloy rocker cover. The interior was also detailed, including the carpets and sound deadening.
The history file includes a heritage certificate, early US history and regular service records. As a 1966 car it is ULEZ exempt, and the dealer supplies it inspected and serviced with a 12-month warranty.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (BMC published engine figures (2912cc C-series straight-six, 148 bhp gross at 5250 rpm). Performance and weight figures from the period came from magazine road tests, not the factory, so they are left as null.).
£63,950 since it was listed on 5 November 2026. No changes yet.
