Aston Martin V8 Coupe

One of only 101 V8 Coupes built, this is a Newport Pagnell car from the era when Aston Martin was still hand-building its V8 models. It shares its chassis with the Vantage V550 and V600 but uses the normally aspirated 5.3-litre V8 with 350 bhp, paired with a four-speed automatic gearbox. The quoted performance is a top speed above 155 mph and 0-60 mph in under six seconds.

The car was supplied new by Portfield Sports & Classics in West Sussex in January 1997 and has a detailed service record at around 41,000 miles. Work was carried out by the supplying dealer, Harwoods, Aston Martin Works at Newport Pagnell, Nicholas Mee and Simon Furlonger. A new speedometer was fitted in 2004, which explains the reset mileage entries in the history.

It was sold in 2014 to an overseas collector, who kept it in covered storage in Yorkshire. Over £6,000 was spent preparing it on purchase. It has now been recommissioned, fully serviced and MOT tested. It comes with the original service books and manuals, the tool kit, previous owner details and MOTs going back to the car's sixth year.
