Chassis G4/457/S is a short-chassis Aston Martin MKII, the 1934 successor to the Le Mans model. The short wheelbase car is close mechanically to the Ulster racer, one of which finished third overall at Le Mans in 1935. This one has EU taxes paid and is German registered.
Its history is unusually well documented. It was sold new to William Morrison of Renfrewshire, who collected it from the Feltham factory and drove it to Scotland. It later went to the USA, appearing there in the 1959 AMOC register. Nick Mason bought it in the 1970s, and it then passed to Silvio Fella, who raced it in the 1981 and 1982 Horsfall Trophy races. Ecurie Bertelli restored it in the early 1990s, and the current owner bought it in 2007 and campaigned it in Germany in races and rallies.
It has a new Ecurie Bertelli engine built around a new cylinder block, with only test miles since. The original block comes with the car. The dealer describes it as tidy and in good condition, with light patina.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Period Aston Martin (Feltham) quoted figures for the 1.5-litre SOHC Mk II; weight, top speed and acceleration not reliably published by the factory, so left null.).
