This is chassis A2/129, recorded as the last International sold by Aston Martin. It was first registered on 5 May 1932 and declared to the licensing authority as used for "Experimental Purposes". It carries long sweeping front wings fitted to the bodywork, instead of the more usual cycle wings.
Early owners included Mr AC Whincop, who drove it to the Bugatti factory at Molsheim. Autocar reported the trip in February 1950, and a copy is in the history file. Two RAF pilots followed. The car has been with one family since 1962.
Ecurie Bertelli restored it in 1990 and 1991, fitting an uprated crankshaft and steel conrods around the strengthened original block. It has since won numerous AMOC concours. The ignition has been updated to a modern system, and the original magneto is included in the sale.
